Consulting Services for Russian Entrepreneurs


CCI business consultants touring Moscow before going to four Russian cities

The mission of the Consulting Services for Russian Entrepreneurs (CSRE) program was to provide U.S. consultants who traveled to Russia in support of Russian regional businesses. CCI participated in this program, a broad effort managed by USAID contractor ACDI/VOCA, from 1998 until 2000.

The program consisted of Americans providing consulting services that exposed non-English speaking entrepreneurs to business planning, marketing approaches, inventory control measures, and financial management — concepts quite revolutionary to their businesses. In addition, the Americans provided management seminars, business conferences, and even e-mail consulting. Many hundreds of Russian companies profited from this program.
