Corruption Reduction Events, June 2004
A Corruption Reduction Conference was held in Moscow, June 11-13, as
part of CCI's Next
Steps: Transition to Transparency Program.
CCI alumni from across all regions of Russia converged on Moscow as a
follow-up to the
Symposium on Corruption Reduction held in
Washington, D.C. and Moscow, March 2004.
The initial symposium was a fact-finding mission to learn the world's
experience in corruption reduction to take back to Russia. The purpose
of this conference was to hear the results of what participants had
initiated in their regions as a result of the symposium, create a
strategy for grassroots action, and build an association to address
honest business practices.

Corruption Reduction Events, March 2004
Several major events took place as part of CCI's Next Steps: Transition to
Transparency Program. One hundred Russian entrepreneurs, graduates of past
and present CCI programs, joined together to participate in a series of
activities in Washington, D.C. and Moscow.

20th Anniversary Celebration
On September 13, 2003, a balmy San Francisco evening, CCI pioneers,
volunteers and funders met to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of CCI's
existence and declare victory over the impossible mission that drove
CCI founders into action twenty years ago had miraculously succeeded!

St. Petersburg Conference
Entrepreneurs—Leaders of Russia, September 26-28,
2002
CCI organized the Entrepreneurs–Leaders of Russia
Conference to probe the roots of public corruption and
provide regional entrepreneurs with tools to defeat corrupt
practices. The conference initiated a process to identify,
inventory, monitor and report a myriad of absurd regulations
and conflicting laws that impede the development of
Russia’s small and medium-sized business sector.
