Russia Youth Program

Mission Statement

The Russia Youth Program (RYP) is an exclusive program for university age offspring of CCI Alumni. RYP puts a strong focus on professional development and cultural exchange. The program is uniquely designed to provide Russian youth exposure to American businesses, ABC’s of entrepreneurship and career development opportunities. While in the U.S., they will be introduced to everyday American life and civic volunteerism.

Goals and Objectives

• Expose Russian youth to entrepreneurship in the U.S. and help them develop in their designated career fields
• Introduce participants to current industry trends and Western business management principles and practices
• Provide a hands-on training experience through visits to local U.S. businesses
• Increase opportunities for business relationships and friendships among Russian youth and American citizens  
  

Program Overview

The Russia Youth Program is intended primarily for young adults ages 18-23 years old, who are fluent or semi-fluent speakers of English and who are interested in owning or managing a business. Participants of RYP will spend two weeks visiting companies in the U.S., meeting American entrepreneurs and getting exposure to the ABCs of business and entrepreneurship. Topics of discussion will include: fundamentals of starting a successful business, financial management and planning, business organization, customer satisfaction, business ethics and others. Through RYP, Russian youth will be able to orient themselves in their future careers and gain strategies that will help them succeed in business.

Structure of the Program

Groups are composed of 8 Russian youth and a Russian Facilitator, who will accompany participants to the U.S. and guide them in their training efforts. RYP participants will be hosted in the homes of sponsoring civic club members, thereby experiencing first-hand the great American values of volunteerism and the American culture.
