Visiting Russians being introduced to local Kiwanis Club members

The Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) begins and ends with the spirit of volunteerism in America. An important aspect of the Russian entrepreneurs visit to local U.S. communities is the support provided by America’s civic volunteer organizations. The role of civic clubs in PEP’s history can’t be understated.

PEP participation fits well with the goals of civic clubs like Rotary International, Kiwanis International, Lions and Optimist Clubs. These organizations, each with a mission of service, see the importance of PEP in making the world a safer place. That’s why over 500 different clubs nationwide have understood PEP’s value as a service project and have participated in the program.

PEP provides a great way for civic clubs to perform a very important function: to spread the message of service and friendship to Russia. Many of the visiting Russian entrepreneurs take this message back home to begin their own civic clubs. Without the involvement of civic clubs in PEP, dozens of civic clubs in Russia would not be in existence.
